Charge your cellphone with urine!

How many times have you been out and about and needed to check email--or search for the nearest public bathroom--and ... lo and behold, your phone was dead? I mean, me? I may be on the interwebs more than most people, but, whatever, I run down my battery all the time. BUT. That's all a thing of the past. Check this out:

Researchers at the University of the West of England say it's possible to charge a phone with urine by using microbial fuel cells (MFCs), which convert waste into electricity...

"The beauty of this fuel source is that we are not relying on the erratic nature of the wind or the sun, we are actually re-using waste to create energy," he said, according to the Telegraph.

I'll say. Sign me up!

  1. I am really upset. I tried your advice and pee'd on my cell phone and now it doesn't work. Those guys at the University of West England don't know what they are talking about.
