So, as you probably know because I always complain about it, Mr. Urban Daddy has been away for months picking mushrooms and humping the egg. At least, I hope he's just humping the egg. There are times when, I have to say, I wonder. But then, I simply pour myself a wine and pop open the interwebs and voila! Look where that got me tonight: Antibiotic Protects Men from Being Too Trusting of Attractive Women.
Basically some scientist bitches gave 50 dudes acne medication and then 50 other dudes sugar pills and then made them do a "one-on-one trust game" with eight women. Sounds kinky, right? Evidently, the men on the sugar pill were way more likely to trust the hot ladies than the guys on acne meds. I can think of a number of reasons why this might be the case, but I'll let science speak on this one:
Scientists think the drug may clear the brain of distractions like, in this case, arousal, to improve focus for making rational decisions. And these scientists aren’t the first to show that the antibiotic has effects other than getting rid of zits. Other studies have demonstrated that minocycline can improve patients’ focus on social cues, encourage sober decision making and improve the symptoms associated with schizophrenia and depression.
It's a zit wonder drug! I'll take two bottles, for the "sober decision making" effect. Ching ching!
